The school campus will be closed for all other activities that day. The high school students will take Advanced Placement (AP) exams next month: Monday, May 6 – Chemistry Tuesday, May 7 – Spanish Language Wednesday, May 8 – Calculus Thursday, May 9 – English Literature Friday, May 10 – English Language Monday, May 13 – Biology Wednesday, May 15 – US History Thursday, May 16 – World History On Wednesday, May 15, admissions officers from Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, UPenn and Stanford will give short presentations about their institutions (undergraduate programs only), with a question and answer period at the end. This informational session will take place at Colégio Etapa, on R. Vergueiro, 1951, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Please go to  www.ExploringCollegeOptions.org to RSVP.   Registration for 2013-14 Parents, the registration fee for the 2013-14 school year was due on April 20. If you haven’t paid your child’s fee yet, please contact Ronange Barbosa in the office as soon as possible.   High School Testing This Saturday, April 27, all sophomores and juniors will take practice exams. The seniors that are part of the dual curriculum have the option of taking the practice FUVEST on this day. This is a school day, and attendance is required. The sophomores will take the PLAN test. The juniors will take one of three tests   (the SAT, the ACT or the FUVEST). The sophomores and the juniors need to bring pencils, an eraser and a calculator on April 27. The juniors and seniors who will take the FUVEST will need to bring pencils, an eraser and a black or blue ball-point pen to take their exam. The tests will start at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 12 p.m.   No School There will be no school on Wednesday, May 1, due to the national holiday (Labor Day).   CESPE Testing Students in 5th, 9th and 11th grades that are part of the dual curriculum will take the CESPE test on May 7, 8 and 9.   Library News Parents, check out some of the books that were added to our library this week: Stories from the Old Testament: With Masterwork Paintings Inspired by the Stories Simplify Your Life With Kids: 100 Ways to Make Family Life Easier and More Fun - Elaine St. James Cameron Townsend: Planting God's Word - Renee Taft Meloche Sometimes I'm Afraid (Helping Kids Heal series) - Maribeth Boelts Financial Aid Forms Financial aid forms for the 2013-14 school year are available in the office. All applications must be turned in by next Tuesday, April 30.  Mother’s Day Tea Come spend a pleasant afternoon in Tuscany, without having to get on the plane. This year’s Mother Day will take place on May 10 at 1:30 p.m. RSVP with Denise Deal in the main office. We will have music, fun, sharing, presentations by the children and the high school choir and great food! No school for Preschool Students Preschool parents, please mark your calendars! There will be no school for Pre-K1 and Pre-K2 students on Thursday, May 2. No school for Kindergarten Students Kindergarten parents, there will be no school for you children on May 6 & 7. May Bazaar The May Bazaar is coming up on Saturday, May 11. If you would like to reserve a table to sell your items, all you need to do is sign-up. O campus ficará fechado para quaisquer outras atividades neste dia. Os alunos do Ensino Médio farão os exames Advanced Placement (que podem valer crédito universitário) no próximo mês: Segunda-feira, 6 de maio - Química Terça-feira, 7 de maio – Espanhol Quarta-feira, 8 de maio – Cálculo Quinta-feira,  9 de maio – Literatura Inglesa Sexta-feira, 10 de maio – Língua Inglesa Segunda-feira, 13 de maio – Biologia Quarta-feira, 15 de maio – História dos EUA Quinta-feira, 16 de maio – História Mundial Na quarta-feira, dia 15 de maio, representantes das universidades Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, UPenn e Stanford farão pequenas apresentações sobre as suas instituições (apenas sobre os cursos de graduação), com tempo para perguntas ao final da sessão. Confirme sua presença através do seguinte site: www.ExploringCollegeOptions.org Rematrícula Pais, caso ainda não tenham acertado a taxa de rematrícula do seu filho (que venceu no dia 20 de abril), entrem em contato com a Ronange Barbosa na secretaria com urgência.   Simulados Nesse sábado, dia 27 de abril, todos os alunos do 10º e 11º anos farão simulados aqui na escola. Os alunos do 12º ano que fazem parte do currículo brasileiro terão a opção de fazer o simulado do FUVEST nesse dia. Esse é um dia letivo, e a presença é obrigatória. Os alunos do 10º ano farão o PLAN test . Os alunos do 11º ano farão um dos três testes (SAT, ACT ou FUVEST). Os alunos do 10º e do 11º anos deverão trazer lápis, borracha e uma calculadora no dia 27 de abril. Os alunos do 11º e os alunos do 12º ano que farão o simulado do FUVEST às 8 horas deverão trazer lápis, borracha e uma caneta esferográfica azul ou preta para fazer a prova. As provas começarão às 8 horas e terminarão por volta das 12 horas. Não Haverá Aula Não haverá aula na quarta-feira, dia 1º de maio, devido ao feriado nacional (Dia do Trabalho). Teste do CESPE Os alunos do 5º, 9º e 11º anos que fazem parte do currículo duplo farão o teste do CESPE  nos dias 7, 8 e 9 de maio, respectivamente.
