​​Attendance 

If student (PK-12) will not attend school for any reason (mission, trip, health, or other), please contact the homeroom teacher and the main office ([email protected]) by email at your earliest convenience. Advance notice of absences will facilitate you and your child receiving make-up work in a timely fashion.  

Late Arrival 

Please remember that all students (PK – 12) should be on campus by 8:00 each morning. If students arrive after 8:00, they should pass by the front desk to pick up a tardy pass before going to class. 

MAP Tests  

Near the end of each school year, students in Kindergarten through 8th grade take the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) test. Elementary students (Kindergarten-5th Grade) stared MAP tests the week of May 20-24 and will continue the week of May 27-31, and June 3. Middle School students took the MAP tests the week of May 13-17.

OBMEP – June 5

Once again, we enrolled PACA in the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad, OBMEP. Last year, we were proud to have three medalists among our students.

This year, students from 6th to 12th grades interested in participating in the 1st phase of OBMEP will have the opportunity to take the exams on June 5, from 8:15 am to 10:45 am, at the school. To do this, each student must put his/her name on the OBMEP interest list provided by the Homeroom teacher.

June 11 – Elementary Activities

On Tuesday, June 11 elementary students will have the elementary Talent Show in the morning and will participate in Field Day in the afternoon. More information about these events will be sent soon!

June 12 - Last Day of School

The last day of school is Wednesday, June 12.  Students will receive Character Awards, as well as participate in an all-school assembly. Parents are welcome to attend. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.

One Prayer

Dear PACA Family, we invite all to join us on "One Prayer" every last full day of the week, in the Auditorium, at 3:30 pm. Let's be consistently united in calling out to the One, as one people, regardless of who we are or what we do with PACA. God's calling for us is most clearly written in 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Graduations

The class of 2024 invites you to their graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 

1, at 6 p.m. in the school gym. Join us as we celebrate our seniors and bless them as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

The 8th grade graduation ceremony will be on June 8. The Kindergarten graduation will happen on June 6 during the school day. These ceremonies are primarily for the graduates' family members. 

Requesting Documentation

Parents, if you need the school office to provide you with any documentation by the end of this school year, please request it by May 31 by email [email protected] .

Gym Closed

Due to the upcoming events and ceremonies, the gym is closed for all activities.

Atrasos

Todos os alunos (PK – 12) devem estar no campus até às 8:00, todas as manhãs. Se os alunos chegarem após as 8:00, eles deverão passar pela recepção para pegar um “tardy pass” antes de ir para a classe. 

Testes MAP

Perto do final de cada ano letivo, os alunos do Kindergarten ao 8th grade fazem o teste MAP (Medida de Progresso Academico). Os alunos do Elementary (Kindergarten ao 5th grade) começaram testes na semana de 20 a 24 de maio e continuaram durante entre os dias 27 e 3 de junho. Os alunos do Middle School fizeram as provas do MAP na semana de 13 a 17 de maio.

OBMEP – 5 de junho

Mais uma vez inscrevemos a PACA na Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática, a OBMEP. Ano passado, tivemos o orgulho de termos três medalhistas entre os nossos alunos.

Este ano, os alunos do 6th ao 12th grades interessados em participar da 1 ⁠ ª fase da OBMEP terão a oportunidade de fazer as provas no dia 5 de junho, das 8:15 às 10:45h, aqui mesmo na escola. Para isso, cada aluno deve colocar seu nome na lista de interessados na OBMEP fornecido pelo professor do Homeroom.

11 de junho – Atividades do Elementary

Na terça-feira, 11 de junho, os alunos do Elementary terão o Show de Talentos pela manhã e participarão do “Field Day” à tarde. Mais informações sobre esses eventos serão enviadas em breve!

12 de junho - Último dia de aula

O último dia de aula será quarta-feira, 12 de junho.  Os alunos receberão “Character Awards” e participarão de uma assembleia geral. Os pais são convidados a participar. Os alunos serão dispensados às 11h30.

Formaturas

A turma de 2024 convida a todos para a cerimônia de formatura no sábado, dia 1º de junho, às 18h, no ginásio da escola. Venham comemorar com os alunos e abençoá-los nesse novo capítulo em sua história.

A cerimônia de formatura do 8º ano será no dia 8 de junho. A formatura do Kindergarten acontecerá no dia 6 de junho durante o dia letivo. Essas cerimônias são principalmente para os familiares dos formandos.

Pais, caso precisem receber documentos emitidos pela secretaria até o fim desse ano letivo, por favor, façam a sua solicitação até o dia 31 de maio através do email [email protected] .

Por conta de alguns eventos e cerimônias, o ginásio está fechado para todas as atividades.

Character First  

Elementary students finished the Character First topic of Generosity this week - “Being careful with what I have so that I can share.”

A “Family Connections” paper was sent home on May 13, students who return the completed page to school by May 20 will receive a small prize.

As students learn and practice important characteristics, our goal is for them to grow in their personal relationships and in their relationship with God.

Character First

Os alunos do Elementary finalizaram o tema do Character First, Generosidade, esta semana - "Ter cuidado com o que tenho para poder compartilhar".

Um documento "Conexões Familiares" foi enviado para casa em 13 de maio. Os alunos que devolverem a página completa à escola até 20 de maio receberão um pequeno prêmio.

O objetivo é que os alunos cresçam em seu relacionamento com Deus e em seus relacionamentos pessoais, conforme eles aprendem e praticam cada um dos traços neste processo.

If student (PK-12) will not attend school for any reason (mission, trip, health, or other), please contact the homeroom teacher and the main office ([email protected]) by email at your earliest convenience.  Advance notice of absences will facilitate you and your child receiving make-up work in a timely fashion.  

Late Arrival 

Please remember that all students (PK – 12) should be on campus by 8:00 each morning. If students arrive after 8:00, they should pass by the front desk to pick up a tardy pass before going to class. 

Child Safety Protection Network Announcement (CSPN )

Ensuring the safety of our students is our top priority! We're excited to announce that PACA is hosting child safety training sessions for selected staff from our school and others from around South America! PACA has chosen to partner with the Child Safety and Protection Network (https://cspn.org/), a collaborative network of mission agencies, faith-based NGOs and international Christian schools intentionally and strategically addressing issues of child safety. The sessions provided by international trainers will equip our educators with the tools and knowledge needed to create a safe and secure environment for all our students. From understanding protocols for emergency situations to learning effective communication strategies, our team will be empowered to handle any situation with confidence and care. Together, we're committed to fostering a culture of safety and support within our school community. Let's work hand-in-hand to ensure the well-being of our children.

MAP Tests  

Near the end of each school year, students in Kindergarten through 8th grade take the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) test. Elementary students (Kindergarten-5th Grade) will take MAP tests in Reading, Language, & Math during the weeks of May 20-24, May 27-31, and June 3. Middle School students took MAP tests this week, May 13-17. 

One Prayer

Dear PACA Family, we invite all to join us on "One Prayer" every last full day of the week, in the Auditorium, at 3:30 pm. Let's be consistently united in calling out to the One, as one people, regardless of who we are or what we do with PACA. God's calling for us is most clearly written in 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Character First  

Elementary students finished the Character First topic of Generosity this week - “Being careful with what I have so that I can share.”

A “Family Connections” paper was sent home on May 13, students who return the completed page to school by May 20 will receive a small prize.

As students learn and practice important characteristics, our goal is for them to grow in their personal relationships and in their relationship with God.  

Graduations

The class of 2024 invites you to their graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 

1, at 6 p.m. in the school gym. Join us as we celebrate our seniors and bless them as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

The 8th grade graduation ceremony will be on June 8. The Kindergarten graduation will happen on June 6 during the school day. These ceremonies are primarily for the graduates' family members.

Parents, if you need the school office to provide you with any documentation by the end of this school year, please request it by May 31.

Garantir a segurança de nossos alunos é nossa prioridade! Temos o prazer de anunciar que a PACA está organizando sessões de treinamento de segurança infantil para uma equipe selecionada da nossa escola e outros participantes de toda a América do Sul. A PACA tem parceria com a Child Safety and Protection Network (https://cspn.org/), uma rede colaborativa de agências missionárias, ONGs religiosas e escolas cristãs internacionais que abordam intencional e estrategicamente questões de segurança infantil.  As sessões fornecidas por instrutores internacionais irão equipar nossos educadores com as ferramentas e conhecimentos necessários para criar um ambiente seguro para todos os nossos alunos. Desde a compreensão de protocolos para situações de emergência até o aprendizado de estratégias de comunicação eficazes, nossa equipe será capacitada para lidar com qualquer situação com confiança e cuidado. Juntos, estamos comprometidos em promover uma cultura de segurança e apoio dentro da nossa comunidade escolar. Vamos trabalhar lado a lado para garantir o bem-estar das nossas crianças.

Testes MAP

Perto do final de cada ano letivo, os alunos do Kindergarten ao 8th grade fazem o teste MAP (Medida de Progresso Academico). Os alunos do Elementary (Kindergarten ao 5th grade) farão testes MAP em Leitura, Linguagem, Matemática durante as semanas de 20 a 24 de maio, 27 a 31 de maio e 3 de junho. Os alunos do Middle School fizeram as provas do MAP esta semana, de 13 a 17 de maio.

One Prayer

Prezada Família PACA, convidamos todos a se juntarem a nós em "One Prayer" (Uma Oração) às 15:30, no Auditório, todo último dia inteiro letivo da semana. Vamos nos unir de forma consistente para clamar ao Único, como um só povo, independentemente de quem sejamos ou do que façamos na escola. Character First

Os alunos do Elementary finalizaram o tema do Character First, Generosidade, esta semana - "Ter cuidado com o que tenho para poder compartilhar".

Um documento "Conexões Familiares" foi enviado para casa em 13 de maio. Os alunos que devolverem a página completa à escola até 20 de maio receberão um pequeno prêmio.

O objetivo é que os alunos cresçam em seu relacionamento com Deus e em seus relacionamentos pessoais, conforme eles aprendem e praticam cada um dos traços neste processo.

Formaturas

A turma de 2024 convida a todos para a cerimônia de formatura no sábado, dia 1º de junho, às 18h, no ginásio da escola. Venham comemorar com os alunos e abençoá-los nesse novo capítulo em sua história.

A cerimônia de formatura do 8º ano será no dia 8 de junho. A formatura do Kindergarten acontecerá no dia 6 de junho durante o dia letivo. Essas cerimônias são principalmente para os familiares dos formandos.

Character First  

Elementary students are in the last Character First rotation of the school year! Our topic is Generosity - “Being careful with what I have so that I can share.” At the assembly on April 22, students learned about Generosity through the biblical story of the widow's offering, based on Mark 12: 41-44. Students will participate in small groups for the next several weeks, giving them opportunity to continue learning and growing together with their peers!

As students learn and practice important characteristics, our goal is for them to grow in their personal relationships and in their relationship with God.  

2024/2025 School Year Calendar Start and End Dates

Parents, PACA has set the start and end dates for each semester of the 2024/2025 school year. 

The official calendar with detailed information will be sent during the month of April. We reinforce that the dates may change, as they will still be submitted for approval by the Department of Education/MEC.

1st Semester:

• 1st day of school: July 29, 2024
• Last day of school: December 12, 2024

2nd Semester:

• 1st day of school: January 23, 2025
• Last day of school: June 10, 2025

Testes MAP

Perto do final de cada ano letivo, os alunos do Kindergarten ao 8th grade fazem o teste MAP (Medida de Progresso Academico). Os alunos do Elementary (Kindergarten ao 5th grade) farão testes MAP em Leitura, Linguagem, Matemática durante as semanas de 20 a 24 de maio, 27 a 31 de maio e 3 de junho. Os alunos do Middle School farão as provas do MAP na semana de 13 a 17 de maio.

One Prayer

Prezada Família PACA, convidamos todos a se juntarem a nós em "One Prayer" (Uma Oração) às 15:30, no Auditório, todo último dia inteiro letivo da semana. Vamos nos unir de forma consistente para clamar ao Único, como um só povo, independentemente de quem sejamos ou do que façamos na escola. O chamado de Deus para nós está claramente escrito em 2 Crônicas 7:14 - "¹se o meu povo, que se chama pelo meu nome, se humilhar e orar, buscar a minha face e se afastar dos seus maus caminhos, dos céus o ouvirei, perdoarei os seus pecados e curarei a sua terra.

Character First

Os alunos do Elementary iniciaram a última sessão do ano letivo! Nosso tema é Generosidade - "Ter cuidado com o que tenho para poder compartilhar". Na assembleia de 22 de abril, os alunos aprenderam sobre a generosidade através da história bíblica da oferta da viúva, baseada em Marcos 12:41-44. Os alunos participarão de pequenos grupos nas próximas semanas, dando-lhes a oportunidade de continuar aprendendo e crescendo junto com seus colegas!

O objetivo é que os alunos cresçam em seu relacionamento com Deus e em seus relacionamentos pessoais, conforme eles aprendem e praticam cada um dos traços neste processo.

Queridos Pais, a PACA definiu as datas de início e término para cada semestre do ano letivo 2024/2025. 

O calendário oficial com informações detalhadas será enviado durante o mês de abril. Reforçamos que as datas podem sofrer alterações, pois ainda serão submetidas à aprovação da Secretaria de Educação/MEC.

1º Semestre:

• 1º dia de aula: 29 de julho de 2024
• Último dia de aula: 12 de dezembro de 2024

2º Semestre:

• 1º dia de aula: 23 de janeiro de 2025
• Último dia de aula: 10 de junho de 2025

Formaturas

A turma de 2024 convida a todos para a cerimônia de formatura no sábado, dia 1º de junho, às 18h, no ginásio da escola. Venham comemorar com os alunos e abençoá-los nesse novo capítulo em sua história.

A cerimônia de formatura do 8º ano será no dia 8 de junho. A formatura do Kindergarten acontecerá no dia 6 de junho durante o dia letivo. Essas cerimônias são principalmente para os familiares dos formandos.

Solicitação de Documentos

Pais, caso precisem receber documentos emitidos pela secretaria até o fim desse ano letivo, por favor, façam a sua solicitação até o dia 31 de maio.

MAP Tests  

Near the end of each school year, students in Kindergarten through 8th grade take the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) test. Elementary students (Kindergarten-5th Grade) will take MAP tests in Reading, Language, & Math during the weeks of May 20-24, May 27-31, and June 3. Middle School students will take MAP tests the week of May 13-17. 

One Prayer

Dear PACA Family, we invite all to join us on "One Prayer" every last full day of the week, in the Auditorium, at 3:30 pm. Let's be consistently united in calling out to the One, as one people, regardless of who we are or what we do with PACA. God's calling for us is most clearly written in 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Character First  

Elementary students began the last Character First rotation of the school year this week! Our topic is Generosity - “Being careful with what I have so that I can share.” At the assembly on April 22, students learned about Generosity through the biblical story of the widow's offering, based on Mark 12: 41-44. Students will participate in small groups for the next several weeks, giving them opportunity to continue learning and growing together with their peers!

As students learn and practice important characteristics, our goal is for them to grow in their personal relationships and in their relationship with God.  

2024/2025 School Year Calendar Start and End Dates

Parents, PACA has set the start and end dates for each semester of the 2024/2025 school year. 

The official calendar with detailed information will be sent during the month of April. We reinforce that the dates may change, as they will still be submitted for approval by the Department of Education/MEC.

1st Semester:

• 1st day of school: July 29, 2024
• Last day of school: December 12, 2024

2nd Semester:

• 1st day of school: January 23, 2025
• Last day of school: June 10, 2025

 Graduations

The class of 2024 invites you to their graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 

1, at 6 p.m. in the school gym. Join us as we celebrate our seniors and bless them as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

The 8th grade graduation ceremony will be on June 8. The Kindergarten graduation will happen on June 6 during the school day. These ceremonies are primarily for the graduates' family members.

Mon: Chicken parmegiana, French fries, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, mayo, fuit

Tue: Pork ribs, corn farofa, zucchini, lettuce, endive, fruit
