STUCO Talent Show & Prayer Vigil
Everyone is invited to the high school talent show will be held tomorrow, December 6, at 5:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend this event. Free popcorn will be provided. STUCO will sell hot dogs at the event. There will be a prayer vigil for high school students after the talent show.

Pre-K & Elementary Christmas Program
Sshh! Grab your dark shades and go undercover to join the exciting Christmas mission of We Three Spies. Agents E, L and F are recruits with the CIK (Christmas Intelligence Kids), a covert group of spies who secretly bring Christmas cheer to the needy. But this year they’re facing an especially difficult challenge: keeping Ms. Harriet (pronounced “Har-ret”) King, a Scrooge-like landlord, from evicting them from their headquarters, confiscating donations, and cancelling their Christmas Nativity program. It takes a little expert espionage and a lot of God’s unconditional love for Ms. King to change her tune as she finally joins the CIK and the entire town in a musical celebration of the true meaning of Jesus’ birth.

This year’s Christmas musical will take place this Saturday, December 7, in the school gym. Pre-K - 4th graders should be in their classrooms by 4:30 p.m. 5th graders should be in their classroom by 4 p.m., so that they can put their costumes on, test microphones and be ready for the play.

Preschool students are asked to come dressed completely in white for the presentation. Kindergarten through 4th graders will wear jeans (pants only) and the special T-shirt that was ordered for the program. The children will receive their T-shirts in their homerooms on Saturday. The 5th graders will wear their costumes for their play.

6th grade Field Trip
On November 19, D. Isly Franco, D. Ana Claudia Soares, D. Eliana Castanho and the 6th graders had the opportunity to visit Nestlé’s chocolate factory. It was an amazing experience. The students had the opportunity to explore the factory; they participated in games and interacted with the tour guide about the history of the company and the trajectory of the different ingredients that give the chocolates their special touch.

News from the Elementary Principal

The Elementary students will be visiting two different resting homes to sing Christmas songs on Thursday, December 12. K-2nd graders will go in the morning to Meirehause, and the 3rd-5th graders will go in the afternoon to Betel Casa de Repouso. Please remember to return your child’s permission slip to the classroom teacher by Friday, December 6.

Christmas Gifts for Workers
Our school’s beautiful campus is the result of the hard work of our maintenance staff. Each year, we ask our families to bless these workers with Christmas gifts. If you haven’t sent in a present for your assigned worker, please remember to do so. Thank you!

Gym Closed
Due to set up for the upcoming Elementary Christmas program, the gym will be closed for all activities until December 8.

Swimming Pool
The PACA pool will be open to the community on December 9. The pool will only open if there is a life guard on duty. We have been able to find life guards for the following days: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. In order to open the pool on other days, we need committed life guards. If you would like to be considered as a life guard, please contact Eduardo Sylvestre at 5929-9500 for training. If no life guard volunteers sign up, the pool will remain closed throughout vacation, including Saturdays and holidays.

Parent Advisory Committee Meeting

The Parent Advisory Committee will meet on December 9 at 7:30 a.m. in the auditorium.

Athletic Awards Ceremony
The varsity athletic awards will be handed out on Tuesday, December 10, at 2:35 p.m. The boys will meet in the auditorium, and the girls will meet in the preschool cafeteria. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend. This is a time when coaches show their appreciation for the athletes and all the hard work they put in during the season. It is also a time of closure for the sports season in which the players also show their appreciation for their teammates. During the ceremony, awards will be given to each athlete, according to their characteristics and their role in the team, along with special awards that will be given to selected athletes (MVP, MVD, MVO, MVIP).

Pre-Season Practices
Varsity pre-season practices for second semester sports will be held on December 5, 12, 13 and 16. The boys’ softball team and the girls’ volleyball team will practice first. Futsal and girls’ softball will practice second. Due to high school finals, on December 12, 13 and 16, practices will begin at 1:15 p.m.

Show de Talentos e Vigília
A entrada é franca. O grêmio estudantil venderá cachorro quente no evento. A pipoca será distribuída gratuitamente.
