Elementary School (1st Grade - 5th Grade)

Our emphasis is on essential skills in reading, language, library, music, mathematics, social studies, science, computers, and physical education. Specialists teach art, music, and physical education. Student-led assemblies are a great way to support the development of public speaking skills, personal confidence and self-expression.

A school-wide expectation is that all students will become bilingual. Students fluent in Portuguese are also enrolled in the Brazilian Program studies taught by qualified elementary Brazilian teachers.  Students who are still learning to speak Portuguese have daily classes to learn Portuguese as a second language.

Our elementary education also includes a character development program centered on the Bible.  Education is more than the accumulation of facts. Rather, it involves the whole person: heart, soul, mind and strength. This includes convictions, values, principles and truth. PACA’s standard for truth is the Word of God. In the light of this foundation, students are educated to serve God and impact the world through ethical, responsible behavior and positive participation in the global and local society.
