Admission's ProcessAdmissions Overview
To determine whether an applicant is ready to meet PACA’s academic standards and the demands of our American or American/Brazilian curriculum, the Admissions Office reviews the student’s academic record, language proficiency, social and emotional development, teacher recommendations, and the family’s commitment to the child’s education. Most families will participate in an interview to discuss curriculum, expectations, and school fit. Assessments and Interviews Applicants for 1st grade through High School are required to take an entrance assessment. Preschool and Kindergarten candidates are interviewed to verify their developmental stage and readiness for the educational program. Once we receive a student’s application and if space is available, the school will contact you by phone or email to schedule the assessment. (Please note that spaces are limited.) Transfer Students PACA accepts credits from accredited high schools. Official transcripts must be sent from those institutions before credit can be officially granted. Copies of transcripts must be presented at the time of enrollment. Students from Alternative Educational Programs PACA welcomes applications from homeschooled students from the United States. Applicants should provide documentation of the curriculum used and assessment tools (standardized tests and report cards). High school homeschool applicants must also submit an official transcript from an authorized home school institution or program. Age Requirements
