Mid-Term Reports
Parent signed mid-term slips are due today, November 14.

No School
There will be no school tomorrow, November 15, due to the Proclamação da República holiday.

There will be no school on Wednesday, November 20, due to the Consciência Negra holiday.

News from the Secondary Principal
This weekend is a “no homework weekend” for the middle school students!

News from the Elementary Principal
Sshh! Grab your dark shades and go undercover to join the exciting Christmas mission of We Three Spies. Agents E, L and F are recruits with the CIK (Christmas Intelligence Kids), a covert group of spies who secretly bring Christmas cheer to the needy. But this year they’re facing an especially difficult challenge: keeping Ms. Harriet (pronounced “Har-ret”) King, a Scrooge-like landlord, from evicting them from their headquarters, confiscating donations, and cancelling their Christmas Nativity program. It takes a little expert espionage and a lot of God’s unconditional love for Ms. King to change her tune as she finally joins the CIK and the entire town in a musical celebration of the true meaning of Jesus’ birth.

This year’s Christmas musical will take place on Saturday, December 7, in the school gym. Pre-K - 4th graders should be in their classrooms by 4:30 p.m. 5th graders should be in their classroom by 4 p.m., so that they can put their costumes on, test microphones and be ready for the play.

News from the Guidance Counselor
This is the last college visit that will happen this semester for our high school students. Please remember that parents are invited to attend. If you have any questions, e-mail me at claudia.kuhnast@paca.com.br.

> November 18 at 11:35 a.m. in the computer lab – Goshen College. This is a Christian, liberal arts institution in Indiana that has about 1000 undergraduate students.

Evacuation Drill
The high school students will participate in an evacuation drill next Tuesday, November 19. Parents, if you have questions about this drill, please contact the school office.

Thanksgiving Clothing Drive
PACA is sponsoring the annual Thanksgiving Clothing Drive to help ministries that are involved with our community. Please bring any used clothes that are clean and in good condition. Please do not send undergarments and school uniforms. All donations must be placed in the bin in front of the gym before next Thursday, November 21. Let’s celebrate by giving thanks to God and sharing our blessings with others! “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

HS Drama Production
PACA’s Performing Arts Department proudly presents the 2013 Season: a night of Music, Mystery and Mayhem, with a bit of romance sprinkled in. Plus the Newly Formed PACA Ensemble will sing between the three one act plays (If Sherlock Holmes Were a Woman, Who Am I This Time?, Any Body for Tea?) presented by the Drama Class. Mark your calendars for November 22 and 23 at 8:00 p.m.! Tickets available in the main office with Rosa Tanaka. Adults: R$25,00, students: R$10,00.

Parent Advisory Committee Meeting
The Parent Advisory Committee will have their first meeting of the year on December 9 at 7:30 a.m. The administration meets with this committee twice a year to share information about our school program and to hear suggestions and ideas from parents. If you have any items you would like to include in the meeting’s agenda, please e-mail the representatives of your child’s class or the school office, and briefly explain the nature of question by November 27.

Notícias do Diretor do Ensino Médio

Mateus 5:16

O novo conjunto vocal do Ensino Médio se apresentará no interlúdio três peças de um ato (If Sherlock Holmes Were a Woman, Who Am I This Time?, Any Body for Tea?), apresentadas pela turma do teatro. Rosa Tanaka: adultos R$ 25,00 e alunos R$ 10.
