Students in preschool – 12th grade will eat lunch on campus before dismissal. The school buses will leave PACA at 1 p.m.   News from the Elementary Principal The elementary reading contest is coming – get ready to “Be a READASAURUS”!  Parents, please make plans to attend and participate in reading activities with your student on Friday morning, September 27. This is a half day of school.  We will eat dinosaur-themed food.    There will be a special lunch served in the cafeteria for R$17.00. Students who don’t pay the monthly plan and parents that want to eat lunch at school should reserve by emailing or calling the cafeteria by Monday, September 23: [email protected] or 5929-9534. Students and parents who come for lunch on the day without having reserved will be charged R$22.00 for the meal.   A letter with more specifics went home on Monday, September 16.  Reading logs and the special calendar will come home on Thursday, September 26.  Please watch your child’s folder for these important things.   PTS conferences Parent, Teacher, Student Conferences are coming up in two weeks! Attendance is required for all Pre-K1 – 12th grade parents and for students in 2nd – 12th grades on October 2. Please come with your child to see the fun options for reading AFTER your conferences so that you have plenty of time to look through the books.  All Elementary students will have their library time to look at the books and reserve them, if they want, but the sale will only take place on PTS day.    The following books were added to the library catalog this week:   Fearfully and wonderfully: the marvel of bearing God’s image – Paul W. Come support our Warriors and enjoy a delicious meal! PACA x EAB @ 3:30 pm.   EAB x St. Paul's @ 5:10 pm.   PACA x St. Paul's @ 6:50 pm.     On Saturday, September 21, the varsity boys’ basketball team will play two friendlies at Graded. The first game will be against Porto Seguro at 10:30 am, and the second game will be against Graded at 2:30 pm. On Tuesday, September 24, we will play Chapel at home in JV Soccer and Varsity Basketball. The games will start at 5 pm. On Thursday, September 26, our Varsity Soccer teams will play at Chapel; the games will start at 5 pm.   Uniforms Uniforms can be purchased in the main office. Orders received by 9 am will only be delivered the following day. The payment forms accepted are: debit cards, credit cards or adding the amount to students’ tuition bills. The school will not accept cash payments. Menu – September 23 - 27   Monday: cooked carrots and green beans, stewed beef, rice, beans, sweet potatoes, fruit Tuesday: zucchini, breaded fish, rice, beans, cream corn, Jell-O Wednesday: oranges, feijoada, rice, beans, kale farofa, fruit Thursday: cabbage peanut salad, roast chicken, rice, beans, mashed potatoes, banana compote Friday: special Reading Contest lunch                          Tarde de Capacitação Profissional Devido à tarde de capacitação dos professores, os alunos serão dispensados às 12h50 na próxima sexta-feira, dia 27 de setembro. Os alunos da pré-escola ao 12º ano almoçarão na escola antes de serem dispensados. Os ônibus escolares sairão às 13 horas.   Notícias da Diretora do Elementary O concurso de leitura do elementary está chegando – preparem-se para se tornarem “Leitor-sauros” – devorem seus livros! Pais, por favor, planejem participar das atividades especiais com o seu filho na sexta-feira, 27 de setembro, pela manhã. Os alunos não terão aula à tarde. Serviremos um almoço especial com o tema “Dinosauros,” no refeitório. O valor do almoço é R$ 17,00. Alunos que não têm o plano mensal do refeitório e pais que queiram almoçar na escola nesse dia deverão fazer uma reserva por e-mail até segunda-feira, 23 de setembro, através do endereço eletrônico [email protected] ou 5929-9534. Alunos e pais que almoçarem no dia 27 sem terem feito reserva prévia pagarão R$ 22,00 pela refeição. Uma carta com mais detalhes seguiu para casa na segunda-feira, 16 de setembro. Os diários de leitura e um calendário especial serão enviados para casa na quinta-feira, 26 de setembro. Por favor, estejam atentos à pasta do seu filho.   Reuniões de Pais, Mestres e Alunos Pais da pré-escola ao 12º ano, as reuniões de pais, mestres e alunos em duas semanas, no dia 02 de outubro. A presença dos pais é obrigatória. Os alunos do 2º ao 12º participarão das reuniões junto com os seus pais. Por favor, entrem em contato com Alice Sena ou Marcia Teixeira para agendar as reuniões com os professores do seu filho, caso ainda não tenham feito isso.        Notícias da Orientadora Educacional Representantes das seguintes universidades visitarão a PACA nos próximos dias. No sábado, 21 de setembro, o time de basquete masculino do varsity fará dois amistosos na Graded. O primeiro jogo será contra o Porto Seguro, às 10h30, e o segundo jogo contra a Graded às 14h30.    Na terça-feira,24 de setembro, jogaremos futebol do JV e basquete do varsity em casa contra a Chapel. Os jogos começarão às 17 horas. Na quinta-feira, 26 de setembro, os times de futebol do varsity jogarão na Chapel; os jogos começarão às 17 horas.    Uniformes Uniformes estão à venda na secretaria. Pedidos feitos até às 9 horas serão entregues somente no próximo dia. As formas de pagamento aceitas são: cartão de débito, cartão de crédito ou inclusão dos valores no boleto do aluno.
