Updating Information

Parents, we urgently need your help. At the beginning of each school year, PACA asks parents to fill out an online student information sheet and a medical form for each student. The information requested is extremely important for student safety in case your child needs to have medical attention. These forms were e-mailed to parents (mom and dad) four times since July 22 using the following email address: comercial@jcsolucoes.com.br. Please check your emails, especially your spam box. The school will not send hard copies of the forms home. Completed forms were due on August 5. We are still missing forms for 180 students. If you have not filled out these forms yet for your child, please do so as soon as possible. If you are having difficulties filling out the form, contact Marcia Teixeira or Annelise Liu in the main office.

School Pictures

Mr. Bernard Moss will be on campus to take individual and class pictures on August 23 and 24. On Tuesday, August 23, students in preschool through 11th grade will take their individual pictures. Elementary students may dress up for their individual pictures. Please remember that if your child chooses to dress up, but has P.E. on Tuesdays, he/she will need to bring their PE uniforms to change into. The seniors will take their individual pictures, and all grades will take their class pictures on Wednesday, August 24. Elementary students must wear their PACA uniforms on August 24 to take their class picture. If your child is in Kindergarten – 5th grade and has P.E. on Wednesdays, he/she must wear their P.E. uniform for the class picture.

Pictures for School ID cards

All new students in 1st – 12th grades must submit a 3 x 4 picture to Annelise Liu in the office by August 23, so the appropriate school ID card (used in the library and in the cafeteria) can be issued.

Student ID Card – Half Price Tickets

According to Federal Decree 8537  (http://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/_Ato2015-2018/2015/Decreto/D8537.htm), in order for a student to have the right to the benefit of half-price tickets at cultural and sporting events, he/she must present a government approved student ID card, known as  Carteira de Identificação Estudantil (CIE). This is required at the moment of the purchase of tickets and at the entrance of the venue where the event will be held. In order to be considered valid, the CIE must have been issued by student unions, such UNE or Ubes. Parents, to find out more about the official student ID card that allows your child to pay half price at the movies, theater, etc., and how to request a CIE, visit the websites for UNE, Ubes or SPTrans (it is possible to request a public bus card – Bilhete Único – associated with the official student ID card benefits). The International Student Identity Card – ISIC, issued by STB, is not valid for the half price benefit. (https://www.carteiradoestudante.com.br/duvidas)

Atualizando Dados

(https://www.carteiradoestudante.com.br/duvidas)
