Mid-Term Reports

Mid-term reports are going home tomorrow, May 5. Parent signed slips are due on May 12.
 

Science Fair & Art Show

The Science Fair, Art Show and Library Sale are coming on Friday, May 5. Attendance is required for students in Kindergarten – 8th grade.
 

Campus Closed

The SAT will be administered at PACA this Saturday, May 6. The school campus will be closed for all other activities that day.
 

Gym Closed

Due to set up for the Mother’s Day Tea and the May Bazaar, the gym will be closed for all activities until May 15.
 

Senior Blessing

Senior parents, on Tuesday, May 9, we will be having our annual Senior Blessing Day at 2:30 p.m.  During this time, PACA teachers will bless all the seniors individually, speaking messages of encouragement and inspiration for their futures. We would like to invite and strongly encourage all parents and siblings of our seniors to join us for this time of reflection and blessings.  The ceremony will be held in the preschool cafeteria, and light snacks will be served. Thank you, and I hope to see you there. (Claudia Kuhnast)
 

Mother’s Day Tea

Save the date: this year’s Mother’s Day tea will take place on Friday, May 12, at 1:25 p.m. in the gym. Please RSVP with Annelise Liu. The theme is 50s & 60s.
 
 
 

PAC Meeting

The Parent Advisory Committee will meet on Monday, May 15 at 7:30 a.m. The administration meets with this committee twice a year to share information about our school program and to hear suggestions and ideas from parents. If you have any items you would like to include in the meeting’s agenda, please e-mail the representatives of your child’s class or the school office, and briefly explain the nature of question by May 9.

Sports

Our JV Tournaments are coming up next week! The boys’ softball and girls’ futsal will play first, from May 7 – 10. The boys’ futsal and girls’ volleyball tournament will play the second, from May 10 – 13.  A letter with more specifics was sent to parents last week. The games schedule will be posted on the Junior Varsity Sports Edline page.
 
Fund Raising: We will have our last opportunity to fund raise for the tournaments this Friday during the Science Fair & Art Show. Please talk to Mrs. Buchanan for more details.

Monday: stewed beef, rice, black beans, mashed potatoes with mandioquinha
Tuesday:  diced grilled chicken breasts with soy sauce, rice, beans, green beans
Wednesday: feijoada, rice, kale farofa

Feira de Ciências & Exposição de Artes

A Feira de Ciências, Exposição de Artes e Venda de Livros da biblioteca acontecerão amanhã, dia 05 de maio. A presença é obrigatória para alunos do Kindergarten ao 8º ano.
 

Campus Fechado

O exame SAT será administrado na PACA nesse sábado, dia 06 de maio. O campus ficará fechado para quaisquer outras atividades neste dia.
 

Ginásio Fechado

Devido aos preparativos para o chá das mães e o May Bazaar, o ginásio ficará fechado até 15 de maio.
 

Bênção para os Formandos

Pais dos alunos do 12º ano, a Cerimônia de Bênção para os formandos será na terça-feira, dia 09 de maio, às 14h30. Os professores abençoarão os formandos individualmente, compartilhando palavras de encorajamento e inspiração para o futuro. Convidamos e incentivamos os pais e irmãos dos formandos a participarem desse tempo de reflexão e benção. A cerimônia acontecerá no refeitório da pré-escola, e um pequeno lanche será servido. Até lá!
 

Chá das Mães

Reservem a data: o Chá das Mães desse ano acontecerá na sexta-feira, dia 12 de maio, às 13h25, no ginásio da escola. Por favor, confirmem a presença com Annelise Liu. O tema é “Anos Dourados” (anos 50 e 60).
 

Reunião do Comitê de Pais (PAC)

O Comitê de Pais - Parent Advisory Committee se reunirá na segunda-feira, dia 15 de maio, às 7h30. A administração da escola se reúne com este comitê duas vezes por ano. Caso tenham itens que queiram incluir na pauta da reunião, por favor, enviem um e-mail para os representantes da classe do seu filho ou para a secretaria, explicando a natureza da questão de forma breve, até o dia 09 de maio.

Esportes

Os torneios do JV acontecerão na próxima semana! Os meninos do softball e meninas do futsal jogarão primeiro, de 07 a 10 de maio. Os meninos do futsal e a meninas do vôlei competirão de 10 a 13 de maio. Uma carta com detalhes específicos sobre o torneio foi enviada para os pais na semana passada. A programação de jogos estará na página “Junior Varsity Sports” no Edline.
 
Arrecadação de fundos: A última oportunidade para arrecadar fundos para o torneio acontecerá nessa sexta-feira durante a Feira de Ciências e Exposição de Artes. Por favor, conversem com a Mrs. Buchanan para saber mais.
