Mark your calendars! PACA moms, be part of this English tea with special participation from the “Queen” and more… Dress up, and don’t forget your hats! The speaker for this year’s mother’s day tea is Mrs. Cindy Rast.   Campus Closed The SAT will be administered at PACA on Saturday, May 7. The school campus will be closed for all other activities that day.   Gym Closed Due to set up for the Mother’s Day Tea and the May Bazaar, the gym will be closed from May 5 – 14.   PAC Meeting The Parent Advisory Committee will meet on May 16 at 7:30 a.m. The administration meets with this committee twice a year to share information about our school program and to hear suggestions and ideas from parents. If you have any items you would like to include in the meeting’s agenda, please e-mail the representatives of your child’s class or the school office, and briefly explain the nature of question by May 6.   Preschool: Nunes; Oliveira Kindergarten: Lister; Steinberg 1st: Castro; Liu 2nd: Fray; Morales 3rd: Anderson; Yoshida 4th: Lorimer; Pedrozo 5th: Hoshino; Mendoza 6th: Stowell 7th: Huang; Couto 8th: Govier; Ilinsky 9th: Magalhães; Hayashi 10th: Ellery Bann; Yoshikawa 11th: Castro; Annelise Liu 12th: Banfield; Park     Senior Blessing Senior parents, on Tuesday, May 10, we will be having our annual Senior Blessing Day at 2:30 p.m.  During this time, PACA teachers will bless all the seniors individually, speaking messages of encouragement and inspiration for their futures. We would like to invite and strongly encourage all parents and siblings of our seniors to join us for this time of reflection and blessings.  The ceremony will be held in the music room, and light snacks will be served. Thank you, and I hope to see you there. (Claudia Kuhnast)   Sports SPHSL Update: On April 19, our varsity girls’ volleyball team played the semi-final at Graded. Our girls lost 3 sets to 0 and finished the season with the 3rd place in our league. At the Inter 6 tournament, our girls finished in 6th place.   Our varsity boys’ futsal team finished 4th in the league and 2nd at Inter 6.   Sports Calendar Update: Our JV teams (volleyball, futsal and boys’ softball) leave for Little 8 next Wednesday (May 4) and return on Saturday (May 7). Please hand in your permission slips and health forms to Mrs. Buchanan as soon as possible. Also, please keep our teams and coaches in your prayers as they prepare and travel to the tournament.   Financial Aid for tournaments are due this Friday, April 29. If Mrs. Buchanan does not receive a form from your child, he/she will not receive any financial assistance.   Athletic Awards Ceremony: This year´s varsity Athletic Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 3. The varsity girls’ volleyball and boys’ volleyball teams will receive their awards during 1st period. Thanks for supporting this cause!     Feira de Ciências & Exposição de Artes A Feira de Ciências, Exposição de Artes e Venda de Livros da biblioteca serão nessa sexta-feira, dia 29 de abril, às 20 horas. A presença é obrigatória para alunos do Kindergarten ao 8º ano.   Chá das Mães O Chá das Mães desse ano acontecerá na sexta-feira, dia 6 de maio, às 13h25, no ginásio da escola. Reservem a data! Mães da PACA, participem conosco dessa celebração num ambiente da nobreza inglesa, com participação especial da “rainha” e mais... O traje é roupa clássica social, e não esqueça o chapéu. A palestrante será a Sra. Cindy Rast.   Campus Fechado O exame SAT será administrado na PACA no próximo sábado, dia 07 de maio. O campus ficará fechado para quaisquer outras atividades neste dia.   Ginásio Fechado Devido aos preparativos para o chá das mães e o May Bazaar, o ginásio ficará fechado de 05 a 14 de maio.     Reunião do Comitê de Pais (PAC) O Comitê de Pais (Parent Advisory Committee) se reunirá no dia 16 de maio, às 7h30. A administração da escola se reúne com este comitê duas vezes por ano. Os professores abençoarão os formandos individualmente, compartilhando palavras de encorajamento e inspiração para o futuro. Convidamos e incentivamos os pais e irmãos dos formandos a participarem desse tempo de reflexão e benção. A cerimônia acontecerá na sala de Música, e um pequeno lanche será servido. Obrigada, e espero vê-los no dia 10 de maio. (Claudia Kuhnast)   Esportes SPHSL: No dia 19 de abril, o time feminino de vôlei do varsity jogou a semifinal da liga SPSHL na Graded. As meninas perderam de 3 sets a 0, e terminaram a temporada em 3º lugar. No torneio Inter 6, as meninas ficaram em 6º lugar.   Os meninos do futsal masculino do varsity terminaram a temporada em 4º lugar na liga e em 2º lugar no torneio Inter 6. Calendário Esportivo: Os times do JV (vôlei, futsal e softball masculino) irão para o torneio Little 8 na próxima quarta-feira, dia 04 de maio, e voltarão no sábado, dia 07 de maio. Por favor, entreguem as autorizações e o formulários médicos para a Mrs. Buchanan o quanto antes. Estejam em oração pelos times e técnicos quando se preparam e viajam para o NR.   Os formulários de ajuda financeira para os torneios deverão ser entregues até essa sexta-feira, dia 29 de abril.
