Easter Food Drive
Every year, the high school Student Council organizes a food drive to help provide for the needs of the children from Lar Tia Edna. These donations supply the orphanage with over four months of their basic needs.  Each class has been assigned a goal with specific items, in order to use our resources in the best possible way.  Please check with your child to find out which products his or her class was assigned to bring. Monetary donations will also be gladly accepted. The food drive will end on Thursday, April 17.

Professional Development Afternoon
Due to an afternoon of teacher professional development, students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. on Friday, April 4. Pre-K – 5th grade students will eat lunch on campus before dismissal. The school buses will leave at 12:30 p.m.

News from the Elementary Principal
The company www.4Soils.com partnered with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Their website includes Bible stories, games, songs, coloring pages and more.  You can download some of the apps for free. This is a great tool for parents to use at home, and it provides more practice for non-English speakers.

Mr. André Leitão (father of Adriel and Eloana) shared about the Syrian refugees they are working with here in São Paulo in Elementary chapel. Mr. Leitão shared pictures, talked about loving those around us and sharing God’s love with them.  These refugees have nothing with them.  As a way of responding to what they heard, our students can give to help others around them.  We are collecting hygiene items, such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes and tooth paste. This is not required, but we wanted to give the students a simple way to help someone else.  The Elementary teachers have already shared this with their homerooms.  If you have any questions, please see or e-mail Miss Kierstead.

The Science Fair, Art Show and Library Sale are coming. Mark your calendars for April 11 at 8 p.m.! Please remember that attendance at this event is required for students in Kindergarten – 8th grade.

Parenting Class
Parents, you are invited to participate in a seminar on Biblical parenting with Mrs. Mary Fawcett, wife of the associate pastor at Calvary International Church, at PACA on Friday morning, April 4.  The session will be offered in Portuguese in PACA's pre-school cafeteria.  Breakfast and a light morning snack will be served.  Please kindly confirm your presence by Tuesday, April 1, at the front desk (5929-9500). Only 30 spots are available.

8:10-9:00 a.m.: Breakfast

9:00-10:30 a.m. :  Session one

10:30-10:50 a.m. : Coffee break

10:50 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.: Session two

Parent, Teacher Student Conferences (PTS)
Parent, Teacher, Student Conferences are coming up in 3 weeks! Our office staff will call you to set up appointments for Wednesday, April 9.  Students in Kindergarten - 12th grade need to accompany their parents to the meetings. Please arrive 30 minutes before your first appointment. This will give you time to look over your child’s portfolio, and prevent the conferences from running late.

Since 1960, PACA has served the local and international community of São Paulo as a Christian, American and Brazilian curriculum school. Our education integrates Biblical truth in all areas of instruction to guide the hearts and minds of our students and our academic program allows students to receive two diplomas, American and Brazilian, upon graduation which opens doors for them to study in the best universities in the USA, Brazil or throughout the world.
