Books needed: We are collecting second hand children’s books in Portuguese for Vinde Meninos, a Christian care center supported by the “Alcance” mission, one of the Brazilian Word of Life Ministries.  Vinde Meninos offers daily care to children at risk and to those from low income families living on the outskirts of Atibaia.  This daily program is from 12 noon until 5 p.m. and cares for 40 children, ages 5 through 12.  They begin with a hot lunch followed by help with homework, as well as sports, crafts, music, computer and culinary classes. A Bible lesson with the children is also part of the daily routine.  This year they would like to set up a “reading room” to encourage and improve the children’s reading.  If you would like to help, please bring your donation of books to the PACA Library.

Housing needed: Missionary family is returning to São Paulo in early June, and will be looking for a house close to PACA. They are willing to housesit during the June/July vacation while they look for permanent residence. For leads or options, both on temporary housing or a place they could rent, please contact Ron or Jennifer Neptune at Jennifer.
