News from the Guidance Counselor

Congratulations to our seniors for being accepted to the following universities, so far:

·       Charlotte Kennedy - Furman University
·       Maria Saldaña - Pace University
·       Giovanna Almeida - Hult International Business School

Sports

Uniforms and Fines: If your child has not handed in their uniform yet, or if they handed it after the deadline, the late fee will be charged to your next school tuition bill. Parents, if your child was in this situation, a letter specifying the amount and reason for this fine was sent to you.

Next Semester Sports
Next semester, the Athletic Department will offer these sports:

· Varsity: Boys’ and girls’ futsal, boys’ and girls’ volleyball and boys’ softball
· JV: Boys’ and girls’ futsal, girls’ volleyball and boys’ softball

The practice schedule has changed due to the addition of new teams. Please take a look at the schedule on the Sports Edline page to organize your calendar for next semester.

The Sports Calendar is also on the Sports Edline page. Please remember that throughout the season changes might occur. Any changes will be informed.

Report Card Distribution

Pre-K through 12th grade students will receive their report cards on the last day of school. Report cards that are not picked then will be available in the main office on Friday, December 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Campus Closed

Due to the maintenance work that will be done, campus will be closed for all activities during the December/January break.

Office Hours During Vacation

The school office will be closed from December 19 until January 2. The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during vacation.

The library will be closed during vacation. It will open starting on January 23.

Vacation books are due on Friday, February 3, 2017.

First Day of School

The first day of school is Thursday, January 26, 2017. It is a full day of school.

Senior Trip

The seniors will travel to Maresias on Wednesday, January 25. They will return on Sunday, January 29.

Candlelight Dinner

On February 18, the junior class will host the annual Candlelight Dinner. Candlelight is an elegant evening of dining and entertainment for middle school and high school students, parents, and teachers. A limited number of tickets will go on sale at the beginning of next semester.

Esportes

Uniformes e Multas: Pais, caso o seu filho ainda não tenha devolvido o uniforme esportivo, ou tenha feito isso após a data limite, a taxa de atraso será incluída na próxima mensalidade. Se o seu filho se encontra nessa situação, uma carta especificando o motivo desta multa e o valor da mesma foi enviada para casa.

Esportes do 2º Semestre: Os seguintes esportes serão oferecidos no próximo semestre:

· Varsity: Vôlei Masculino e Feminino, Futsal Masculino e Feminino, Softball Masculino.

· JV: Vôlei Feminino Futsal Masculino e Feminino, Softball Masculino.

A programação de treinos mudou por conta do acréscimo de novos times. Por favor, verifique o horário de treinos na página dos Esportes no Edline para organizar a sua agenda para o próximo semestre.

O calendário esportivo também está disponível na página dos Esportes no Edline. Por favor, lembrem-se de que mudanças poderão ocorrer durante a temporadada. Informaremos caso haja alguma mudança.

Distribuição de Boletins

Os alunos da pré-escola ao 12º ano receberão seus boletins no último dia de aula. Os alunos que não pegarem os boletins no último dia de aula poderão retirá-los na sexta-feira, dia 16 de dezembro, das 9 às 15 horas.

Campus Fechado

Devido às obras de manutenção que serão feitas na escola, o campus estará fechado durante as férias.

Horário da Secretaria nas Férias

A secretaria ficará fechada de 19 de dezembro a 02 de janeiro. Durante as férias, a secretaria estará aberta das 9 às 15 horas.

A biblioteca ficará fechada durante as férias, e reabrirá no dia 23 de janeiro.

Os livros retirados para as férias deverão ser devolvidos na sexta-feira, dia 03 de fevereiro de 2017.

Primeiro Dia de Aula

O primeiro dia de aula do próximo semestre será na quinta-feira, dia 26 de janeiro de 2017. Os alunos terão aula em período integral.

Viagem de Formatura

Os formandos viajarão para Maresias na quarta-feira, dia 25 de janeiro, e retornarão no sábado, dia 29 de janeiro.

Jantar à Luz de Velas

Os alunos do 11º ano servirão o tradicional Jantar à Luz de Velas no dia 18 de fevereiro. Este jantar é um evento elegante e agradável para alunos do 6º ao 12º anos, pais e professores. Um número limitado de ingressos será vendido no início do próximo semestre.
