Gym Closed

The gym will be closed for all activities until December 12, due to set up for this year’s high school drama production.
 

Soccer Field Closed

Due the construction of PACA’s electrical substation, the soccer field will be closed for all activities until the end of January.
 

No School

 
There will be no school for high school students on Friday, November 18, due to the Big 8 tournament.
 
 
 
There will be no school on November 24 and 25, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
 
 
 

International Choral Festival

 
Six PACA students (Anna Laura Anderson, Christine Chang, Marcelle Couto, Isabella Soares, Gabrielle Woods and Tovia Woods) will participate in the International Choral Festival at Graded on November 18 and 19. The festival choir will perform at Graded on Saturday, November 19, at 2pm. All are invited to the presentation. Come and support the PACA singers in a delightful performance.
 
 
 

Thanksgiving Clothing Drive

The annual Thanksgiving Clothing Drive has begun! Please donate clothes and shoes that are in good condition; do not send undergarments or school uniforms. Please bring all donations to school and place them in the bins either in front of the gym or in the elementary breezeway by Monday, November 21. All donations will go to Lar Tia Edna, Abba, Lar Efrata and IBTE. Thank you for your generosity!
 

Elementary Christmas Program

The Annual Elementary Christmas program is coming! Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 10, at 5pm.  Come see a fabulous presentation of "The Best Christmas Present Ever" by Celeste Clydesdale. All our elementary and preschool students have been working very hard, so come and support our young performers.
 

Parent Advisory Committee Meeting

The Parent Advisory Committee will have their first meeting of the year on November 28 at 7:30 a.m. The administration meets with this committee twice a year to share information about our school program and to hear suggestions and ideas from parents. If you have any items you would like to include in the meeting’s agenda, please e-mail the representatives of your child’s class or the school office, and briefly explain the nature of question by Friday, November 18.

News from the Guidance Counselor

If you would like your student to be part of a summer program, here is a great opportunity for July 2017.  The Boston Cambridge Institute (BCI) Leaders Camp is an organization that takes students to do courses at Bentley University, Harvard and MIT.   They focus not only on academics, but in developing problem solving skills and leadership. Here are the topics and ages:
 
·       Ages 10-12:  Animation, Robotics, and Talent Development
 
·       Ages 13-14: Leadership, Life Skills, and Science (including Robotics)
 
·       Ages 15-17: Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Career Planning (including college counseling)  
 
If you would like more information, there are a few brochures in Mrs. Kuhnast’s office, or you can research more at this website www.bostoncambridge.com.br. You can also call Juliane Pitella at 99565-6636.   Please be aware that this is not a Christian organization. However, they do have chaperones at all events and in the dormitory; safety and good behavior are some of their primary concerns.

Nick Vujicic will share his testimony at Estádio do Morumbi on Saturday, December 17. The event Experiência de Sucesso begins at 4pm and ends at 10pm. All age groups are welcome. Ticket prices start at R$37, and can be purchased online: https://www.experienciadesucesso.com.vc/
 
Swimming Lessons: If you know how to swim and would like to improve performance, Mrs. Eliana Castanho will teach an after school class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., starting on November 8. During the month of November, some classes may take place on Wednesdays, due to the Proclamção da República and Thanksgiving holidays. Ginásio Fechado

O ginásio estará fechado para todas as atividades até 12 de dezembro devido aos preparativos para a peça teatral do Ensino Médio. 
 

Campo de Futebol Fechado

A PACA está construindo uma subestação elétrica. Por isso, o campo de futebol ficará fechado para todas as atividades até o fim de janeiro.
 

Não Haverá Aula

Não haverá aula para os alunos do 9º ao 12º anos na sexta-feira, dia 18 de novembro, devido ao torneio Big 8.
 
Nos dias 24 e 25 de novembro, não haverá aula - feriado de Ação de Graças.
 
 

Festival Internacional de Corais 

Seis alunos da PACA (Anna Laura Anderson, Christine Chang, Marcelle Couto, Isabella Soares, Gabrielle Woods e Tovia Woods) participarão do Festival Internacional de Corais, que acontecerá na Graded,nos dias 18 e 19 de novembro. O coral dos participantes do festival se apresentará na Graded no sábado, dia 19 de novembro, às 14 horas. Todos estão convidados! Venham prestigiar os cantores da PACA nessa linda apresentação. 
 

Arrecadação de Roupas Usadas

A tradicional arrecadação de roupas usadas, feita anualmente na época de Ações de Graças, já começou! Por favor, doem roupas e sapatos em bom estado; não enviem lingerie e uniformes escolares. Todas as doações devem ser colocadas nas caixas em frente ao ginásio ou no breezeway do Elementary até segunda-feira, dia 21 de novembro. As roupas arrecadadas serão divididas entre o Lar Tia Edna, Abba, Lar Efrata e IBTE. Agradecemos sua generosidade.
  
 

Musical de Natal do Elementary

A apresentação de Natal está chegando! Reservem sábado, dia 10 de dezembro, às 17 horas em seus calendários. Venham assistir uma fantástica apresentação de “The Best Christmas Present Ever" de Celeste Clydesdale. Todos os alunos da pré-escola ao 5º ano têm se esforçado muito; venham prestigiá-los!
 

Reunião do Comitê de Pais 

O comité de pais fará a sua primeira reunião desse ano letivo no dia 28 de novembro  às 7h30. A administração se reúne com este comitê duas vezes por ano. Caso tenham itens que queiram incluir na pauta da reunião, por favor, enviem um e-mail para os representantes da classe do seu filho ou para a secretaria, explicando a natureza da questão de forma breve, até sexta-feira, dia 18 de novembro.
