AP Exams

Any high school student wishing to take an AP exam that is not offered at PACA, please contact Mrs. Zuercher and inform her of the exam you would like to take.  Exam orders will close today for the AP exam offerings for May, 2020.  Students will not be able to request exams after the ordering deadline. If you are already registered in a normal scheduled AP class (one that you attend daily), you do not need to do anything regarding exams.
 



Mid-Term Reports

Mid-term reports went home on October 30. Parent signed mid-term slips are due on November 6.
 

News from the Guidance Office

The following college visits will take place in October. Parents are always welcome!
 
·       November 4:  9:00-9:45 am, in the auditorium - NSLC Summer conference (for the 9th grade)
 
·       November 5: 11:35-12:20 pm, in Mrs. Kuhnast’s office - University of British Columbia
 
·       November 5: 2:40-3:25 pm, in Mrs. Kuhnast’s office– Jacobs University (Germany) 
 
 



News from the Elementary Principal

Thank you, Elementary Students, for your participation in our Reading Contest – “Be a READASAURUS!” Remember to keep reading!
 

Campus Closed on Sundays

Please remember that the PACA campus is closed on Sundays. 
 

Middle School Rafting Trip

The 6th – 8th grade students will go rafting on the Juquiá River on Tuesday, November 12. The rafting will be supervised by the Canoar Group. They are excellent instructors and very safety conscious. Students will need to work in groups to help guide their boat down the river. The purpose of this trip is to teach teamwork as they face this adventure.
 

No School

There will be no school on November 15, due to the Proclamation of the Republic holiday.

Thanksgiving Clothing Drive

The annual Thanksgiving Clothing Drive has begun! Please donate clothes and shoes that are in good condition; do not send undergarments or school uniforms. Please bring all donations to school and place them in the bins either in front of the gym or in the elementary breezeway by November 26.

Permission slips were due on October 10. 
 
 

Menu – November 4 - 8

 
Monday: cabbage and peanut salad, beef, rice, beans, crunchy farofa, fruit.

Tuesday: potato salad, grilled chicken breasts with onions on the side, rice, beans, squash puree, Jell-O.

Wednesday: watercress and pineapple salad, roast beef, rice, beans, zucchini pie, fruit.

Thursday: Bifum, carrot and cucumber salad with sesame seeds, Chinese chicken, rice, beans, bell peppers, carrotsand broccoli on the side, vanilla pudding.

Friday: white bean salad, pasta Bolognese, rice with carrots, Bechamel sauce, fruit.

Exames AP (Advanced Placement)

Qualquer aluno do high school que queira fazer uma prova AP de uma matéria não oferecida pela PACA, deve entrar em contato com a Mrs. Zuercher para fazer o pedido deste exame. Os pedidos dos exames que serão aplicados em maio de 2020 deverão ser feitos até hoje. Não será possível solicitar exames após esta data. Os alunos que estão matriculados em matérias AP oferecidas pela PACA, não precisam fazer o pedido dos exames.  
 

Boletins Mensais

Os boletins mensais foram enviados para casa no dia 30 de outubro. Os canhotos assinados pelos pais deverão ser entregues até 06 de novembro.

Rafting dos Alunos do Ensino Fundamental II

Os alunos do 6º ao 8º ano farão canoagem no Rio Juquiá nessa terça-feira, dia 12 de novembro. O rafting será supervisionado pelo Grupo Canoar, que tem excelentes instrutores, preparados e preocupados com a segurança dos participantes. Durante as atividades, os alunos trabalharão sempre em grupo.   

Não Haverá Aula

Não haverá aula no dia 15 de novembro, devido ao feriado da Proclamação da República.

Arrecadação de Roupas Usadas

A tradicional arrecadação de roupas usadas, feita anualmente na época de Ações de Graças, começou! Por favor, doem roupas e sapatos em bom estado; não enviem lingerie e uniformes escolares. Todas as doações devem ser colocadas nas caixas em frente ao ginásio ou no breezeway até 26 de novembro.
