High School Outreach Day
Today, April 11, the high school students will participate in an Outreach Day. They will work with the following ministries: Lar Efrata, Casa Limiar, Casa Semear, Casa Esperança, Ministério Abba, Geração Vida Nova and Mr. Fadlalla’s soccer ministry. Students need to wear tennis shoes and bring their own lunch on this day. They will be back in time to catch the school bus at 3:30 p.m.

News from the Elementary Principal
The Science Fair, Art Show and Library Sale will take place today, April 11, at 8 p.m.! Please remember that attendance at this event is required for students in Kindergarten – 8th grade.

Practice Tests
This Saturday, April 12, all 10th, 11th and 12th grade students will need to be at PACA to take the PLAN test, the practice SAT and the FUVEST simulado.   Testing will start promptly at 8 a.m. for all grade levels and should finish between 12 and 1 p.m.  It will be a great opportunity to test not only your test taking skills but also your knowledge in a relatively stress free environment.  I hope that all students can benefit from these practice tests.   This is considered a school day. An absence will be considered unexcused, and the test will need to be made up later. Students taking the simulado must bring pencils, pens and an eraser.

Easter Food Drive
Every year, the high school Student Council organizes a food drive to help provide for the needs of the children from Lar Tia Edna. These donations supply the orphanage with over four months of their basic needs. Each class has been assigned a goal with specific items, in order to use our resources in the best possible way.  Please check with your child to find out which products his or her class was assigned to bring. Monetary donations will also be gladly accepted. The food drive will end next Thursday, April 17.

Passover Week
Join us as we celebrate Passover Week! On Tuesday, April 15, we will have a Day of Prayer. Parents, students, teachers and friends are invited to pray with us for our students and their families, for our city and nation.

The conference room will be used as a prayer room for those of you who wish to come and pray on campus, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you have any prayer requests, please e-mail them to denise.deal@paca.com.br.

You are invited to participate in a Day of Fasting, on Wednesday, April 16. If you would like to donate the money you would have spent on food during this day of fasting to Lar Tia Edna, there will be a donation box in the main office.

We will have an Easter sunrise service in the gym on Thursday, April 17, from 6:30 to 7:15 a.m. Our special speaker for this event is Dr. Landon Jones. Childcare will not be available. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria at 7:15 a.m. for those who participate in the service. Please RSVP for the Sunrise Service and Breakfast here.

Our all-school Easter assembly will be held on April 17, at 8:20 a.m., in the gym. Parents and friends are invited to celebrate our Savior’s resurrection with us. Please remember that April 17 is a full day of school. There will be no school on Friday, April 18.

Since 1960, PACA has served the local and international community of São Paulo as a Christian, American and Brazilian curriculum school. Our education integrates Biblical truth in all areas of instruction to guide the hearts and minds of our students and our academic program allows students to receive two diplomas, American and Brazilian, upon graduation which opens doors for them to study in the best universities in the USA, Brazil or throughout the world.
