Prezados Pais,

Aqui estão alguns lembretes sobre o “Walkathon 2017,” que acontecerá amanhã. Confiram os horários da participação do seu filho abaixo.

1.      Entreguem os formulários de patrocinadores. Se precisarem de outra cópia, cliquem aqui para baixar o formulário. Nós vamos anotar o número de voltas completadas por seu filho neste formulário, e o devolveremos para os pais na próxima semana para ajudá-los a arrecadar os patrocínios.
2.      Seu filho deve usar shorts, camiseta e tênis para fazer uma caminhada de 50 minutos. Vamos oferecer bastante água para a turma se hidratar. Depois da caminhada, os alunos vão ganhar um geladinho!
3.      A previsão do tempo nos diz que amanhã teremos sol e aumento de nuvens de manhã com uma temperatura até 28°. Seria bom enviar protetor solar e também um chapéu ou boné.
4.      Se puderem, venham caminhar com o seu filho. Será muito divertido!

Dear Parents,

Here are some quick reminders for tomorrow's Walkathon 2017. See the schedule for the day below.

1. Send in the pledge form. If you need another copy, please download one by clicking here. We will write the number of laps on each form and send it back to you next week to help collect the funds.
2. Your child should wear shorts, a t-shirt and a pair of tennis shoes to walk for about 50 minutes. We will provide lots of water so the students will stay hydrated. After the walk, the students will get a geladinho to help cool off.
3. According to the weather forecast, we should have a partially sunny and cloudy day with temperature reaching up to 82 F. Please send sunscreen and a cap or hat for your child to wear during the event.
4. If you can, come walk with your child. It will be lots of fun.

dia 4 de outubro!

A few reminders about the meetings:

Pre-K - 12th grade parents, Parent, Teacher, Student (PTS) conferences will take place on Wednesday, October 4. Our office staff is already scheduling conferences. After the conferences, we ask that all parents report to the computer lab, located in our high school wing, to take an important survey, which is part of PACA’s accreditation requirements.

The library will host a book fair on this day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Elementary students have made their wish lists during library class, but the sale will only take place on PTS day. Stop by after your PTS conferences to look at the books! The library will accept cash, checks and debit cards.

Parents, please arrive at the school thirty minutes before your first appointment. This will give you time to look over your child’s portfolio, and prevent the conferences from running late. Preschool portfolios will be in your child’s homeroom. Elementary portfolios will be handed out in Miss Kierstead’s office. Middle school and high school portfolios will be available in the cafeteria.

New books, in English and in Portuguese, will be on sale in the library. Stop by after your PTS conferences to look at the books. The library will accept cash, checks and debit cards.

There will be a sports bake sale on PTS day. Student athletes will sell baked goods to raise money for the tournament.

Pais do Pre-K ao 12º ano, as reuniões de pais, mestres e alunos (PTS conferences) acontecerão na quarta-feira, dia 4 de outubro. As funcionárias da secretaria já estão marcando as reuniões. Após as reuniões, pedimos que todos os pais se dirijam ao laboratório de computação para preencher uma pesquisa importante, que nos é exigida para a renovação do nosso credenciamento junto ao AdvancED e à ACSI.

A biblioteca terá uma feira de livros novos nesse dia das 8 às 16h00. Os alunos do elementary ja fizeram suas reservas de livros durante as aulas na biblioteca, mas os livros serão vendidos apenas nessa quarta-feira. Passem na biblioteca depois das suas reuniões com os professores para conferir os livros! A biblioteca aceitará dinheiro, cheques e cartão de débito

Pais, por favor, estejam na escola trinta minutos antes do seu horário marcado. Isso impedirá que ocorram atrasos em cascata. Use esse tempo para olhar a pasta do seu filho. Os portfólios da pré-escola estarão nas próprias salas de aula.

Os portfólios do Kindergarten ao 5º ano estarão na sala da Miss Kierstead. Os portfólios do 6º ao 12º ano estarão no refeitório.

Livros novos, em Inglês e Português, serão vendidos na biblioteca. Passem por lá após as suas reuniões para conferir os livros. A biblioteca aceitará dinheiro, cheques e cartão de débito
