Whenever there is a reboot or revival of an old movie, one has to ask, “Do we really need to see another depiction of that movie?” When it comes to the world of superheros, and specifically “Superman,” it is clear that this late summer hit in movie theaters was just what audiences worldwide were looking for.

“Superman” (2025), directed by James Gunn and released in July 2025, grossed a profit of $614 million worldwide for its producer, Warner Bros, which was one of the biggest debuts for any movie this year.

This new version stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. The film presents a modern interpretation of the iconic hero, focusing on his responsibility, identity, and role in protecting humanity, supported by strong visuals and an impactful soundtrack.

The story follows Clark Kent as he balances his life as a reporter with his duties as Superman while facing opposition from Lex Luthor, who sees him as a danger to society. As tensions rise, Clark must make difficult decisions that test his values and sense of duty.

Without revealing the ending, the movie builds suspense through action and meaningful conflicts that highlight Superman’s struggle between his two worlds.

David Corenswet gives a solid performance, portraying Superman as both powerful and grounded. Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane adds intelligence and strength to the story, while Nicholas Hoult brings intensity to the role of Lex Luthor.

The special effects and cinematography enhance the action scenes, especially during moments of flight and combat, making the film visually engaging.

Watching “Superman” was an enjoyable experience. The movie was easy to follow and kept my attention with its mix of action and storyline. Although some scenes felt slightly rushed, the overall film was entertaining and well-structured.

Overall, “Superman” (2025) is a movie I would recommend to fans of superhero films and anyone who enjoys action with a strong storyline. It offers a fresh look at a classic character with a renewed version of our present days and is worth watching.

The movie is accessible on platforms like HBOmax, Google Play Movies, Amazon Prime Videos, and Apple TV.
