On Wednesday, November 5th, PACA highschoolers had the chance to welcome Hult University representatives to our campus during their normally scheduled seventh period class. The representatives from the school were able to share information with students who might be interested in attending a business school. It also gave students the chance to put a college on their list that has multiple campuses around the world.
According to Mindy Swisher, the guidance counselor at PACA, one of the advantages of this university is that it is very international because of its global campuses that form part of a network of business schools.
“They have five campuses around the world,” said Swisher. “And you can go to any of the campuses at any time. Each one of them provides a different experience.”
Swisher also mentioned that a second advantage to the school is that they focus on hands-on work which allows them to learn about business in practical ways.
The presentation was very dynamic and gave a general feel on what Hult represents. One of the things that makes Hult unique is its history of international collaboration between a school in the United States and a school in the U.K.
Hult University started off as a small business school in Massachusetts that would eventually join together with a business school in London in order to create the International Business school that it is today with six campuses around the world. You can find out more about this history on their website: https://www.hult.edu/about/history
Hult University is majorly focused on business and is the most common course their students take.
Benjamin Portella is a high school freshman who has hopes of one day becoming an entrepreneur and is interested in universities with strong business schools.
“Seeing the presentation from Hult University gave me a better understanding of what being a business graduate really means,” said Portella. “It was helpful to see how Hult worked in the line of business.”
During Hult’s presentation at PACA, they provided more than just a slideshow. They allowed students to visually explore what being a business major really means. In their slide show there were many videos which gave the feel of the university.
PACA has two alumni currently attending Hult University. Last year’s graduate Nicholas Vergara (’25) is attending the business school in Boston, Massachusetts, and alumni Rcardo Avellar (’23) is a student at the London campus.
All high school students at PACA were given the chance to attend this presentation. Hult International School of Business has become one of PACA’s annual visitors and they will most likely visit this campus again next school year.
