Middle School Retreat (6th - 8th Grades)

An Experience That Shapes Hearts, Character, and Community

middle school program

Growth, Connection, and Discovery

At PACA, education goes far beyond the classroom. Our Middle School Retreat is a powerful, transformative experience designed to develop the whole student—spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Each year, our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students spend three unforgettable days at Rio Selvagem Camp in Juquitiba, just two hours from campus. Surrounded by nature, students step out of their routine and into an environment intentionally created for growth, connection, and discovery.

Throughout the retreat, students participate in a wide range of engaging outdoor activities, including:

  • Ropes course and wall climbing

  • Zip line adventures

  • Kayaking and stand-up paddling

  • Swimming and obstacle courses

  • Team games and challenges

These experiences are more than just fun—they are carefully designed to help students build resilience, overcome fears, develop teamwork, and strengthen meaningful friendships.

What truly sets PACA apart, however, is the heart behind the retreat.

Our primary goal is spiritual growth. Through inspiring messages from a special guest speaker, meaningful worship times, Bible study, and moments like the campfire gatherings, students are encouraged to deepen their relationship with God. These moments often become the most impactful and lasting memories of the retreat.

Students are supported throughout the trip by dedicated male and female faculty chaperones, ensuring a safe, caring, and structured environment.

This retreat is not optional—it is a core part of the PACA curriculum, intentionally designed to align with our mission of developing students who grow in faith, character, and leadership.

Students consistently tell us that this retreat is one of the most meaningful experiences of their middle school years—and students return inspired, connected, and transformed.
