Dear Friend of PACA’s Community,
How would yourespond to the chaos after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that killed anestimated 220,000 people, injuring morethan 300,000, and leaving close to 1.5 million peoplehomeless? How does a Christian school with 300students help an entire nation with physical and spiritual reliefefforts after such an earthquake tragedy?
PACA has theprivilege to host Steve Hersey, Director of Quisqueya Christian School,for an entire week to share with students, teachers, and parents abouthow God transformed fear into courage, doubt into faith, and darknessinto light after the Haiti earthquake of January 2010.
Specifically, wewant to inviteyou tocomehear first hand from Steve on Thursday, May 5, at 3:30 pm in theschool's auditorium. Joinus for an afternoon tea and sharing time to hear about God's work inHaiti. During the week, Steve will be sharing with All of ourstudents. But on Thursday, May 5, is your chance tohear from Steve.
Last year, PACAsent a team to bring a helping hand to the Quisqueya Christian Schoolas the school is in the process of rebuilding: physically,spiritually, and emotionally. Many of you prayedover our staff and generously helped fund airplane costs for PACA'steam. Now we have an opportunity to hear first hand fromSteve about the endurance and courage of the Haitian people and themissionaries and teachers who help them.

Como você reagiria ao caos causado por um terremoto com umamagnitude de 7.0 na Escala Richter, que matou aproximadamente 220 milpessoas, feriu mais de 300 mil pessoas, e deixou quase 1,5milhão de pessoas desabrigadas? Como uma escolacristã (Quisqueya Christian School) com apenas 300 alunospode ajudar a aliviar os efeitos devastadores desta tragédiapara toda uma nação? A PACA tem oprivilégio de receber o Sr. Steve Hersey, o diretor dessaescola. No ano passado, a PACA enviou uma equipe missionáriaà Quisqueya Christian School para apoiar a escolaneste momento de reconstrução física,espiritual e emocional. Muitos dos nossos amigos oraram pelos nossoprofessores, e ajudaram a cobrir os custos das passagensaéreas dessa viagem.
