Dear PACA Parents,
 
Welcome to PACA!  We look forward to your participation and contributions to the PACA community.  I would like to highlight some key information to prepare you and your child for the beginning of the new school year here at Pan American Christian Academy. 

First Day of School for Middle and High School Students (Grades 6th – 12th): 
August 6  / 8:05 am – 12:00 pm (those who want to try out for sports – basketball and soccer – will stay for sports practices and will take the late bus)
 
First day of school for Elementary Students (Grades Kindergarten – 5th): 
August 7  / 8:05 am – 3:20 pm
 
First day of school for Preschool Students (Grades Pre-K1 & Pre-K2): 
August 7  / 8:05 am – 11:00 am (full day of school on August 8)
 
A couple of quick notes for your children as they come to school:
·         If a new student, please bring a 5 x7 photo so that we can make a school identification card.
·         If a returning student, bring your student identification card from last semester.
·         If playing sports, bring your sports clothes and equipment starting the first day of school.
 
Parent Activities to mark on your Calendar
 
Breakfast with the Superintendent:
August 7, 2008
8:00 – 10:00 am

Come enjoy a breakfast with the school’s Superintendent and other parents.  This is an excellent chance to meet new parents, make new friends, and discover volunteer opportunities here at PACA. 

POPS Family Picnic:
August 30, 2008
12:00 – 17:00

This is a fun family event for all to participate.  Allows parents and children to enjoy a wonderful day of fun activities and games.  Food will be provided.
 
Open House:
August 30, 2008
9:30 am – 12:30 pm
This event is a must for all parents.  It provides parents with an opportunity to meet their child’s teacher and get an overview of the instruction their child will receive.
 
Basketball Game
August 15, 2008
Starts at 5:30 pm
First game of the season is at PACA against the EAC Giants from Campinas.  Come and bring your whole family to cheer the Warriors on to victory.  Tickets for a special dinner will be available to buy that night!
