During vacation, the school office will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office will be closed on July 9, due to the São Paulo holiday.
Durante as férias, o escritório da escola abrirá das 9 às 15 horas. O escritório fechará no dia 9 de julho, devido ao feriado municipal.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - PRIMEIRO DIA DE AULA
Wednesday, August 5, 2009 will be the Orientation Day for 6th-12th grade students. Students will be dismissed at noon. Thursday, August 6, is the first full day of school for Kindergarten through 12th grade students. Mr. Flurry will have a welcome breakfast for new PACA parents that morning. The first day for pre-school students will be on August 6, from 8:10 to 11 a.m., only.
Na quarta-feira, dia 5 de agosto, teremos um Dia de Orientação para os alunos do 6º ao 12º anos. Os alunos serão dispensados ao meio-dia. Quinta-feira, dia 6 de agosto, é o primeiro dia de aula para os alunos do Kindergarten ao 12º anos. O Mr. Flurry oferecerá um café da manhã de boas-vindas para os novos pais da comunidade PACA naquela manhã. O primeiro dia de aula dos alunos da pré-escola será no dia 6 de agosto, somente das 8h10 às 11 horas.

Report cards for Pre-K - 5th grades were sent home on the last day of school. The 6th-12th grade report cards may be picked up on Friday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 11 is a national holiday, and the school office will be closed. The campus will be closed during vacation due to the construction and maintenance work that will be done.
Os boletins da Pré-Escola ao 5º anos foram entregues no último dia de aula. Os boletins do 6º ao 12º anos poderão ser retirados na sexta-feira, dia 12 de junho, das 9 às 15 horas. Dia 11 de junho é feriado nacional, e o escritório da escola estará fechado. O campus estará fechado durante as férias devido às construções e reformas que acontecerão neste tempo.
APPLICATION FOR THE NEW ENEM - INSCRIÇÃO PARA O NOVO ENEM
Students can sign up for the new ENEM from June 15 to July 17. The tests will happen in October.
The Brazilian Ministry of Education’s proposal to unify the admissions process for colleges and universities, which will substitute the current vestibulares (college entrance exams), foresees that the new National High School Exam (Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio - ENEM) will be offered in October. Their intent is to offer an evaluation system that will focus on students’ critical and analytical thinking as opposed to the current college entrance exams, which focus primarily on memorizing the content offered throughout their high school years.
As inscrições serão abertas dia 15 de junho até dia 17 de julho e as provas serão em outubro.
A proposta do Ministério da Educação para unificação do processo seletivo das instituições de ensino superior, em substituição ao atuais vestibulares, prevê a aplicação do novo Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem) em outubro. A intenção é oferecer um sistema de avaliação que privilegie a capacidade crítica e analítica dos estudantes em detrimento dos atuais modelos de vestibulares que valorizam sobremaneira a memorização de conteúdos do ensino médio.
